Jak changed his name to John Jackson and married Ida Annala (born in 1871 in Vassa, Finland) in 1895 in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. They had 7 children.

Malo
Pierre Malo was born in 1814 in Quebec, Canada. He died in 1891 at the age of 77 in Quebec, Canada. Julie Chaput was born in 1814 in Quebec, Canada. She died in 1847 in Quebec, Canada.

Vallée
Charles LaVallé was born in 1584 in Rouen, Normandy, France. He died in 1658 at the age of 74 in Rouen, Normandy, France. Jehanne Elie was born in 1596 in Rouen. She died in 1631 in Gahard, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France. Two of their grandsons immigrated to Canada in 1657. They were Pierre LaVallée, born in 1636 in Saint-Saens, France, and Jean Vallée, born in 1642 in Saint-Saens, France. The descendants of these two brothers are spread throughout Canada and the United States of America. Pierre, a master surgeon, began the LaVallée line in Canada and later in the United States of America. He died in 1686 at the age of 50. Jean, a farmer, began the Vallée line in Canada. He died at Ste. Famille, Île of Orléans, Québec in 1673 at the age of 31. It is unknown why Jean changed his last name from LaVallée to Vallée.
